We are talking about taking care or animals and taking care of ourselves. Here are a few things that the girls seems to really enjoy doing during this journey:
- We worked on a birdbath - This was a messy paper mache project. The girls enjoyed getting their hands dirty.
- We are building a mural and very meeting the girls have a chance to use their artistic ability to add one of their animal creations to it.
- The animal game - This is the head band game with a twist. The troop has to act like an animal and one person has to guess which animal it is.
- Acting out - We have giving them some scenarios and each girl had a chance to act it out. This one was a big hit with all of the girls. We will definitely have to do this one again.
In addition, we are making a quilt for Mrs Gough. This is a thank you gift for letting us use her room for our meetings. All of the girls have been working on this quilt together. See picture below.
There are 4 meetings left for this year. Here are a few things we will be planning:
- A trip to Petco as part of our journey. (Waiting to here confirmation, but hoping this will be next meeting)
- Cookie money event - An event chosen by the girls funded by the troops cookie money.
- Bridging ceremony - This year is our girls last year as daisies. Next year they will be brownies. So they will be bridging to Brownies at the end of this year.
- Town encampment - Unfortunately we are on the waiting list for town encampment. I am waiting for confirmation on whether we will be able to participate or not. If we are not able to participate and you have sent in the $10 payment, your check will be returned to you.
