Meeting #10 – Note to Parents

In order to earn this leaf we did the following activities during our meeting:

• Identified the name of each coin and how much it’s worth
• Differences and similarities of the coins (penny, nickel, dime, quarter, dollar). Which is bigger, smaller, different color, etc.
• How many of each coin you need to make a dollar
• Talked about the different types of paper money and the way to identify its worth
• Talked about the cost of fun, and fun things that we could do for free. We did 2
  craft activity on this subject.
• Identified in an activity: things we need, and things we would like to have but don’t necessarily need
• Drew a picture of something we could do to help someone
